    let 50% chacolate = x lbs

    Since total amount is 20 lb,

    10% chacolate = 20 - x lb

    so x(50/100) + (20 - x)(10/100) = 20(25/100)

    50x + 200 - 10x = 500

    40x = 300

    x = 300/40

    = 7.5 lb

    so 50% chacolate = 7.5 lb

    10% chacolate = 20 - 7.5 = 12.5 lb

    b)

    The balance amount = 20.00 - 9.25

    = 10.75

    let 25 cents coins = a

    then 50 cents coins = 30 - a

    so 25a + (30 - a)50 = 1075

    25a + 1500 - 50a = 1075

    25a = 425

    a = 425 /25 = 17

    25 cents (quarters ) = 17

    50 cents coins = 30 - 17 = 13
