When you for your annual exam at the gyno, do they do a pregnancy test?

I can't remember if they ask you to pee in a cup or not for your annual exam and if they do, do they also do a pregnancy test with that or just run routine tests on it?

I could possibly be pregnant and plan to take a test the morning of my exam (the 17th) althought 14 dpo would be the 19th. Are their tests sensitive enough to detect pregnancy a few days earlier than normal?

They don't normally run a pregnancy test if you are just going in for your annual pap, but you can request it. However, the pee test they give is just the same thing you can get in the store. You should request a blood test...it's much more accurate early on. Good luck and lots of baby dust!

No, they don't do a pregnancy test unless requested. If it is to early to tell if you are pregnant or not by the pee test...they can do a blood test to find out if you are pregnant or not. Good luck!

They don't do a pregnancy test but you could get it, some places do it for free. Their tests are sensitive enough to pick it up as early as 2 weeks, to my best knowledge. You could call them up and ask them for more accurate information.

a blood test might be able to tell, urine won't. you would have to ask for a blood test, they don't automatically test for pregnancy unless you tell them you could be.

no. unless you ask. they do weight, temperature, pap, internal exam, and usually a breast check too.

  • Not unless you ask for one.
