COULD THEY TELL ALREADY?

They can tell the sex between 16-20 weeks. I cant believe they told you it was to early at 16 weeks. Maybe they just couldn't get a good shot but they can tell at 16 weeks if they know what they are doing!

All depends on if the baby has it's legs crossed. I had to fight to get an appt for an ultrasound at 16 weeks (in 2 days from now), they said they originally didnt want to do it until 20 weeks- they can USUALLY make a good guess around 16-18 weeks, but 20 weeks is when they can officially tell for sure without any guessing. So they try to wait until then so people don't hold it against them if they guessed wrong before then.

It depends on the position of the baby, but by 20 weeks the genitalia should be developed enough to see them on an ultrasound.

My first baby I found out at "14" weeks I was having a boy. They told me that it wasn't usually accurate, but it was very clear by his position that I was having a boy. Later I gave birth to a boy, so it worked out. Girls are harder to tell from what I hear.

Keep in mind the age of the baby is up for a rough guess. No one can be absolutely sure when you conceived. They calculate the baby's age by the first day of your last period... thus your last period becomes part of the term even though technically you shouldn't have been pregnant then. I bled the first month I was pregnant so it became even more inaccurate of when I actually conceived. My baby's due date was way off. First by the calculation of my last period he should've been born March 10th... they adjusted it to his size according to the sonogram to February 23rd. I didn't have him until February 28th. So, no one is perfect. I'm just glad to have a healthy baby.

It all depends on how the baby is laying. I found out I was having a boy when I was just shy of 16 weeks. My son was not shy at all though, he was spread eagle and could very clearly see what he was. With my daughter though, I did not find out until I was 20s, and that was still mostly a guess because she was crossed legged.

Aw that sucks! I couldn't imagine going in to find out the sex and them telling me I have to wait another month.. They found out the sex of mine at 17 weeks pregnant but yest at 20 weeks they will Definitely know the sex as long as baby cooperates and opens legs

I had both of my gender ultrasounds at 20 weeks. It just depends if the baby is turned the right way. My daughter had her legs crossed at the time!

I found out at 16 weeks I was having a girl both times.

They were right the first (she was born at 19 weeks so it was confirmed via post mortem)

This time I've had another scan since which also says I'm having a girl.

So unless baby has it's legs crossed, yes they will be able to tell at your next scan :) xxxx

you will get by using this! My daughter went throughout the time of the comparable appropriate element whilst she became into sixteen. Lean on your pals and family members for help and remember the pregancy disaster centers are there FOR YOU! they are in a position to help with counselling and furnish toddler products you will desire. they should be able to tell you if the baby wants you to know. My first hide her lady parts till i was 6 months. My lil guy now is always showing his stuff on the ultrasound.

At twenty weeks they will definatley be able to tell you, thats when they told me. I also went and had a 4d scan at 30 weeks and they re confirmed that i was already told at 20.
