"Americans would be fined up to $3,800 for failing to buy health insurance " is this remotely true?

i am just tired of all the misinformation going around from forced abortions to death panels..the GOP has been full of bald face lies

Update:

thank you Havok and others who responded, even if a dem dick say this the GOP totaly twisted what was true and made Obama into the big bad wolf again they are desperate $3800. for someone making $66,000 now if some one is making min wage would be less plus if you can get cheap health care at a min wage job your going to take it anyway no fines are necessary to persuade you to get it once again the spin doctors are up to their old tricks on the heals of the big speech of course its laughable how desperate some people are to further there own agenda with half truths thank to all!

This is fine in Max Bacus Bill. That is the max that a family will pay. The max for an individual is 750.

That is simpler than the penalty in the Republican Wyden Plan.

"Require all citizens over age 19 to have insurance along with dependent children. Those without coverage are subject to a financial penalty based on the number of uncovered months and the weighted average of HAPI premiums. "

All this is about is people ABUSING the system by NOT getting ANY insurance, and then trying to go get treated for free anyway! Like most illegal aliens do which conservatives are complaining about all the time anyway.

It means that person would have to PAY THE DOCTOR BACK, using tax refund deductions if necessary (I've got NO problem with that!)

The $3,800 figure probably has nothing to do with what they are saying.

Source(s): jskmarder - WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS NOT TRUE!!! The electronic accounts on page 59 are FOR THE DOCTORS, not the patients, so the DOCTORS can get paid for their work via the government insureres - STOP SPREADING LIES!!!!

The companion (amnesty) Senate invoice makes absolutely everyone who breaks into the US earlier December 2010 criminal. for that reason, there will be no unlawful immigrants interior the US. Likewise, no money would be going to illegals - there in simple terms is not any. Likewise, the charges of the invoice are deemed precise at time of drafting, even although they handed over 12 million illegals, because of the fact the legalization of all illegals, even human beings who injury into the US interior the destiny twelve months or so, has no longer occurred yet. they think of the yank individuals are as stupid as severe Libs.

    WASHINGTON —

This is where common sense leaves the room. First they claim the president is a socialist who wants the government to take over healthcare. If it is a government program then wouldn’t it be free? How would you not accept it, by getting gravely ill and dying instead of going to the hospital because it is free?

Sen Max Baucus has suggested it as part of the funding for the Senate Health Care bill.

That's right, because Its either You pay a Lot For Insurance Now or Pay a Lot more later by not having any, Its going to be Required for all Americans.

Baucus suggested something along those lines. Obama has rejected the idea. Those who claim it's Obama's plan, or the Democratic Party's plan, are either misinformed or just lying.

The 'death panels' are there, baby, just a euphemism for 'end of life counseling'. Or outright denial of care: http://wizbangblog.com/content/2009/07/26/ezekiel-...

And one of your fine lib dem dufuss boys wrote up that $3,800 fine idea as the real thing: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090908/ap_on_go_co/us...
