Hello. We have been there a few times for dinner. The low points (for the adults) are: The food quality is not great. You know, the typical mass produced fare you might get at any ol' buffet. The characters come around so often they interrupt your meal more frequently than one might like, leaving you having to scramble for your camera while gulping down mouthfuls of food so you don't look like a chipmunk in your photo. The atmosphere is a bit too hectic for our preference.

One the other hand, the children LOVE it! They love picking out their own food at the buffet. You will save lots of time at the parks by getting photos of the characters at the restaurant. The high energy atmosphere is very appealing to the kids. They will certainly leave happy, without a doubt.

Chef Mickey wasn't worth the money. It was pretty expensive condering there wasn't many choices. The cookies tasted old. For the price I was expecting the food to be more tastful. Maybe I went on a bad night?

The character did come by, but they ingnored us many times. Maybe because we were sitting near the stairs? I had to call out their names and jump up and down to flag one down so they can meet my kids. I even asked Minnie for an autograph but she hesitated, I think it was their break time? I wouldn't pay to eat their again. If you really want to experience it then I say go for it. But I will try something else for my 2nd trip in 2011.

Not really. I 've been there a few times and it's really really fun but the food wasn't that good to me. But then again I'm an EXTREMELY picky eater so you may like it. It is really fun there though. Lots of characters come over to your table and you can get an autograph and picture with them. Plus, every 30 minutes theres a little thing there where you spin your napkin up in the air and the characters sing and dance. So actually I think it's probably worth if you're not a very picky eater like me. I hope this helps! :)

We have been to WDW 13 times. We have had breakfast & dinner at Chef Mickey's many times. It doesn't matter whether you're a kid or an adult; it's a great place. The atmosphere is lovely. The characters are a lot of fun. The food is very good. We highly recommend it.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for high quality food served in a relaxed atmosphere, then no, it is not worth it. If you are looking for an opportunity to meet characters without waiting in the lines in the parks, then yes, it is totally worth it. I think it is very important to go into it knowing that you are getting buffet food that is just ok. The real reason to eat here is for the characters. For my family, it is worth it to get our pics and autographs in this easier setting. That said, I would recommend breakfast over dinner, the food is better.

If you are on the dining plan, then yes, I'd say it's worth it.

If you are paying cash, I'd sneak off to one of the character greeting spots instead.

I also ditto a pervious poster and prefer the crystal palace though.

IF you are doing this so the kids can have a character dining. Then I recommend going to the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom for breakfast. It will be cheaper, still get to see characters-from Winnine the Pooh- and the buffet for breakfast is very good.

Go for Breakfast! You'll like it and the food keeps coming. It is a ten minute walk to the MK and you'll b eready for the rides.

Be sure to book early, though...they do fill up!

Absolutely not worth it even if someone paid me to go. The food was cold, bland and over cooked. We left hungry. The dessert section looked like kids had been crumbling the desserts up to make sand castles.

The service was non existent. We saw our server 2 times. When he took our drink order and when he hovered over us with the check 2.5 hrs later.

Character interaction was a joke. We were seated in the section right behind the buffet. Apparently the characters don't visit the 2 rooms back there unless you raise cain. We watched the characters visit the main dining room and come in and out of the other side rooms several times while the kids in the rooms behind the buffet were ignored. Luckily another severer in our section did come to refill drinks at his tables and we all complained to him.

ETA: For yrs our fav to see the main disney characters was hollywood and Vine, however it is now has charaters from playhouse disney. Donald's breakfastosaurus has most of the main ones except for Minnie.

    yes its absolutely worth it.

mickey, minnie, donald, goofy, and pluto come around to meet and greet and take pics and sign autographs. they come around several times in the course of an hour so if you miss some of them while getting food don't worry cuz you'll catch them again and if you some how still miss them you just tell your waitress and they will come back around again.

its a buffet and full of tons of good food from freshly roasted turkey and beef to pizza to pasta plus lots of yummy desserts so there is something for everyone.

oh and they have amazing dinner rolls too ;)

its a great atmosphere and who wouldn't want to eat in the contemporary resort?!
