Monitrionics alarm system hekp?

due to a power failure our alarm system stopped working

then we called the company and they said to look for an adapter

i searched for ir but i cant find it anywhere in the house

does anyone know what it looks like?

they said its an adapter that is on an outlet

they also said it could be anywhere in the house

so what does it look like.....?

    They are talking about a power adapter, also known as a plug pack or a wall wart. This is a small power pack that is part of the plug that plugs into the wall outlet to produce low voltage power for the alarm system it seems. I guess they think that may have failed, and it could be replaced. Alternatively the alarm system may just need to be "rebooted" by turning it off and back on again. Alarm systems often have a standby battery too, and this may have run down when the power was off, so it is possible it may charge up again and start working after a few hours.
