How do you stop the sting of a spider bite?
For about two weeks now my right ankle is stinging like crazy due to a spider bite and it has been swelling on and off also. I just want to scratch it all the time but i do not want it infected, i have tried alcohol but it really is not making a difference . Is it a spider bite or ring worms ? we do have cats .

If it is stinging after a couple hours, it is not a spider bite.
The effects and symptoms of common spider bites would not
last over a week and would be completely recovered.
the only exception would be a poisonous bites, which would be
well on their way to becoming healed.
most bites are perhaps much like an ant sting or mosquito bite.
The sting is usually very brief, with a prominent itch lasting
12 to 36 hours.
scratching or squeezing any insect/spider bite, or skin condition,
will only prolong healing and promote infection.

Put some kind of bacteria cream and put a band-aid over it so you won't itch it. Go to the doctor, they'll probably give you a certain prescription cream that's very strong. If you can't then the best thing to do is to live with the pain for a few weeks.

I don't know really, urine or ammonia works on jellyfish stings and baking soda is supposed to help bee stings, try to find out if it is and acid or a base and neutralize it with the other, if it is a base like a hydroxide then use vinegar. if it is an acid try baking soda
