Would Port fall even lower without Sean Burgoyne?

It has been widely reported in the Adelaide media that Sean Burgoyne wants a trade. He is (when in form) without doubt Port's best player, and I think they would be in all sorts of strife if he decided to leave to go to Victoria or Sydney.

Surely you'd all want him at your club?

I guess you wouldn't blame him if he wanted to flee a sinking ship... even rats know when to get out.

Yeah, Amazingly Port have said to several of their star players that if the get a good offer from another club, they will be traded. These players include Kane Cornes, Burgoyne, Pearce and Ebert - all players with the potential to win games

Shaun Burgoyne is one of those x-factor players that can provide possessions, pace, excitement plus 2 or 3 goals a game, he would fit beautifully into ANY side and I hope St Kilda (my team) picks up Burgoyne or Pearce because we could really use an exciting player with pace.

Maybe this will mean Port will fall lower, but they would surely get a good player or 2 out of Burgoyne, players like him don't get traded too often!

Trade week should be very, very exciting!

Source(s): Maybe Port Adelaide are trying to set-up a future for their club and make many changes. Hopefully, it is a win-win situation for every club.

That's a massive loss for Port if he does leave. In my opinion a fully fit and firing Shaun Burgoyne is one of the best midfielders in the comp. Consistancy and injuries are the main problem so a change of club and a new coach could be better for him.

I'd have him at the Crows any day of the week.

Sean Burgoyne is a gun player, but unfortunately he is playing for a club that is heading in the wrong direction.

Every club in the comp would want him.

I'm sure he wants to play for club that is going to have some success in the coming years, and not the bunch of rabble that Port are.

You mean (Shaun) Burgoyne right don't you Harold. Im sure he will be offered a new contract but its up to him whether he stays or not. Any club would be keen to get him he's such a gun player.
