If he had sustained his numbers from the prime of his career for a longer period. He had such a steep drop off after getting his new contract with the Bulls and his play was not typical for Big Ben.

In his 13 year career he only had about 5 seasons of dominance. I feel like to be in the HOF you need to have a dominant career and not just a couple of good years.

When injuries, his big ridiculed contract and coaching issues with Scott Skiles started to wear on Wallace, he seemed to stop giving that effort that he made a career out of. In his final season with the Bulls and then his subsequent trade to the Cavs he became a shell of his former self. He was fighting injuries most of last season. Maybe with coming back to Detroit Ben will be reenergized, but I don't think he'll get back to his old numbers with the Pistons

Ben Wallace does have good credentials.

    4x NBA Defensive Player of the Year (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006)

    4-time NBA All Star

    5-time All-NBA Team

    6-time All NBA Defensive Team

    1X NBA Champion

But he'll have to wait in a long line for a long while before he gets voted in. If at all.

Ben Wallace will most likely not make the hall of fame. Looking at guys like Dennis Johnson that are on the outside looking in who had a much better career and more accomplishments it is unlikely that Wallace will be there. There is talk that Scottie Pippen who is up next year is borderline and that is insane in its own right.

Rodman must be, yet on no account, shape or form is Ben Wallace a corridor of Famer. he's possibly the worst offensive participant ever. a minimum of Rodman ought to handle the ball a shoot extremely. Wallace is almost a 5th grader with the ball in his hands.

It won't happen until the voters place more emphasis on defense and not as much on the offensive stats. There Was...has the best point about this. If Scottie Pippen isn't a sure-fire HOF player, how can Wallace even be in the conversation?

I think he's an awesome player too..not so much now but maybe he'll improve.

He was beasty back with Detroit back then, 9pts 15 rbs 3 blks 2 steals. He was dominating. I hope so though, but to be realistic he probably won't. bummer, but im sure he'll be recognized as one of the best defensive players of all time considering he played center being so short

  • When Dennis Rodman, Dikembe Mutumbo, and Alonzo Mourning get in, bring it up again

he use to be awesome back in 2003 but now he is most likely to end his career in detroit this year in 09-10
