Aim program not launching! (windows) disappears after 1 second?

AIM wont launch on my computer anymore! it comes up for less than a second and then it disappears! please help.

Recently i been having a lot of problems with my computer. In the beginning, everything was working but both my browsers(IE and Firefox) were extremely slow. it wasnt the internet connection either.. downloaded some program to clean out the registry, did a system restore.. etc

From the time of the first problems to when Aim started having problems..i downloaded flash, cleaned out registry, did system restore, got a message that said a windows file was corrupted (not shown anymore) ran a few scans, but after doing all that, both broswers became fast at loading the page again.. But now Aim doesnt launch. Its the only program that i see it having problems launching

Please help me figure out why Aim isnt launching anymore. i tried uninstalling the program and then re-doing it, but theres still the same problem. I know it might be time for a reformat, but i'm not ready for that yet! help!
