Do any of you live on the wild side and eat raw cookie dough?

I am not talking about the packaged Nestle cookie dough, I am talking about the get in the kitchen and make it yourself stuff. I was preparing a batch of peanut butter and peanut butter oatmeal cookie dough the other day and decided to risk death, by plunging my finger into that wonderful, great tasting stuff and sucked it off of my finger. I was all alone, but, actually looked up to make sure no one was watching. Guess what, I lived!

*disclaimer* You should never eat raw cookie dough because the raw eggs could contain salmonella and I am in no way suggesting anyone do so!

    Actually, my children love to help make cookies. If they try to "clean the bowl" I yell at them that it is unsafe and that they need to go play.

    Then I "clean the bowl."

    I did yesterday actually, I love it. Not really a big risk though, first of all there's not that good of a chance nowadays to fine that rare salmonella egg (I know at one point it was only about an 8% chance) and on top of that, our bodies are strong enough to fight off just about any food related illness. Only weakened immune systems and the very young/elderly would have an issue.

    No, when I was a child I ate so much custard cream mix that I vomited a giant tube of it into the kitchen sink. I have never eaten raw anything dough ever since.

    Yeah its not a good idea. I tend to stay on the safe side and NOT eat raw cookie dough.

    lol,your very daring there. i eat it all the time i always make brownies and cookies for my mom and brothers and i always like the bowl and eat the cookie dough and so dose my 7 year old brother its kind of a bomding thing to cos thats the only thing we do were we actully get along.

    YES IT IS ORGASMIC!! I am so in love with food, that I would eat it off the floor. But cookie dough, REAL COOKIE DOUGH is awesome. Specially when you're too lazy to wait on them cookies to bake. haha

    I eat raw cookie dough when I make cookies, but thats it.

    I don't really consider it living on the wild side though, lmfao.

    I eat the raw Rock Cake dough I make, so does my boy(3.5 yr) and girl (13 mths). They love it. That's why we bake three times a week!!!

    Yes. In fact, I'm so disgusting, sometimes I'll even eat raw beef when I'm cutting it up. I mean, I eat my steaks extra rare anyway, what's the difference?

    i am a professional chef and i pig out on cookie dough all the time--and i do not care if i get sick--it is just too good to pass up--try reese's pieces-vanilla cookie dough!--whoa!--have fun! i am jealous that you got cookie dough today and i have not!!--lol
