To find percent error, use this formula

    Note: abs = absolute value

    (Abs(measured value - accepted value)/ accepted value) x 100

    So for your question:

    (Abs(8.98g/ml - 8.96g/ml) / 8.96g/ml) x 100

    (0.0022321428571428571428571428571429) * 100

    = 0.2232% error

u need to take the absolute value

    (| measurement -accepted |)/(| accepted |) *100 = %

    (8.98 - 8.96) / (8.96) * (100) = .22%

    (difference in results / expected result) x 100 = % error
