A couple questions about jumping injuries.?

I heard a couple things about getting injured while jump training.

1. What does it mean to "stuff your knees" when you jump train.

2. Will you get permanent damage to your knees if you play basketball on concrete.

3. Does doing jump squats damage your knees.

4. Does air alert hurt your body more than it helps your vert.

5. If you wear ankle weights while jumping, is their a chance of hurting your ankles, or damaging your knees.

Thanks guys, I just wanna jump high, with minimal risk of injury.

    1. never herd of it.

    2. I'm sure if you were irresponsible, and tried to hurt your knees purposely with improper landings and inappropriate footwear it is possible.

    3.Risk is extremely low. Just don't over do it, stretch BEFORE and AFTER. Warm ups also area good idea.

    4. Yes, if you are commited to the program, you will see improvements. I recommend "The Jump Manual", reuires no fancy foot wear, but it really requires some commitment for 3 months, including some basic dietary applications (adding whey protein to your diet0

    5. Again, just warm up good. stretching. Don't use to much wait. Keep reps intense. Quality vs. Quanity here.

    the true question is increase vertical jump....squats deadlifts and lunges. kill your legs every third day with these exercises!
