i need to stain my paper to look old, but i have already drawn on it ?! help?

i wasn't sure what i was going to do for my school art project and now i've thought of it...after I've drawn it onto paper....

So its like an A3 size drawing using 6B lead, i have singed the edges for an old look but it just looks weird bing white.

can i still stain it or is the lead Just going to run???

any suggestions?

    One that has worked for me is poor some coffee on it. Although just to make sure it doesn't smudge try it on another piece of paper first just draw something and poor it on and see what happens

    Run a lighter at a distance from the paper where it only adds a brownish tinge

    Why not just use the same kind of paper and ink/lead to do a demo piece, and strain it to see what happens?

    just start an new piece cause it will run yeah
