Architects earn a wide variety of salarires depending on their experience, industry, employment setting, etc. According to PayScale.com, the median salary for an architect ranges from around $35,000 to about $98,000 depending on years of experience: http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Architect_...

Well, it's not as complicated as brain surgery or rocket science!!

There's no "supposed to" when it comes to salaries. They are based on what value the market places on particular skills. Your salary will be whatever your employer determines your skills are worth.

The Labor Department website has statistics about salaries in various fields.
