Question about test driving a car...?

What happens if while you are test driving a brand new car from a dealership you get into an at fault accident. Does your insurance have to pay for all the damages and you are forced to buy it? Or do they have some type of insurance that would cover it? I know when you rent a car you can get an option for an insurance where if anything happens to the car you can walk away and their insurance would cover for everything.

Thanks for answering!

First of all, you should be extra careful when you're test driving a new car. Secondly, dealers have all new cars insured. While I've heard they may make you buy a car if you wreck it, I don't believe that is true. You might want to check with the dealer before taking a car for a test drive.
