without going to the NY ferry....?

I want to take the ferry across the hudson, on nov 8, how do i go about getting tickets without going to the ferry station itself

Update:

Ny waterway, and I tried the web site and the website was useless, all they showed me was monthly tickets

    For one trip tickets, you cannot. But then again, you cannot get on the ferry without going to the ferry station either (they don't do home pick ups unfortunately, hehe).

    Most, if not all, NY Waterways terminals have ticket automates, so getting a ticket is very quick and simple.

    Which ferry? The NY Waterway Ferry or the Staten Island Ferry.

    If it the Staten Island Ferry, there is no need to get ticket. The ferry service is free. Just show and board the next departing ferry.
