I hear ya! When it burns/stings, you need to angle it more. Seriously, I was sooooo sure I had it at the right angle, and I got the applicator in like maybe a centimeter and it burned/stung so bad. So I took it out and angled it a wee bit more, and it seriously slid right in, I was in such shock! It is a patient process, but when you get it right it should go in pain free.

you should try Kotex. they have a plastic applicator on them and don't usually hurt. i was nervous the first time as well. i know you said you read everything...but this may help a little bit.

you should ask your mom to try to help you. i know it may be awkward but it will be better for you later. best of luck to you.

you could also try holding a mirror so you can see better.

here is a link to the Kotex site as well.

Have you tried the applicator kind? They have a little cardboard tube around them, theyre really helpful when you first start using them :)

Hmm - I think you should try and see if you can put your finger up your vagina - and if you can do this - you should be able to put the tampon without any problem - talk to you mom
