I believe this would depend on your personal situation; such as do you have kids, do you live in a place that's hot and humid or is four seasons, and how much are you willing to commit to your dog as far as necessary exercise, grooming, etc.
For example, if you live in an apartment complex, are you willing to walk the german shepherd, rottweiler, aussie shepherd, collie, or husky at least 2x a day? If you live in a country setting where owls and foxes abound, would you be willing to keep an eye out all the time while the pinscher is outside?
Also, what's your personality type? If you don't consider yourself an assertive person, then the rottweiler and german shepherd may not be for you. Aussie shepherds can be hyper and prone to barking because of their herding background. Just to name a few...
My suggestion is to always look at the negatives first because they can keep you grounded in your decision making. Once you look at a negative and realize it doesn't bother you or is a non-issue, then that should be considered a step closer in picking your family pet. Good luck to you! :)

German Shepherd - acceptable - loyal to the death - had one years ago as a rescue dog - best dog I ever had - only lived for about 1-1/2 years because of a pre existing condition.
Doberman Pinscher - too hyper for our household - Dobermans and I just don't seem to get along - we agree to disagree.
Husky - unacceptable climate and I'm too lazy for this type of dog - another working dog that is wasted in a home environment
Border Collie - would be great with the cats - good size for the house - great country dog - wasted in an urban household.
Aussie Shepherd - working dog - shame to make it any kind of a pet - waste of a good dog
Rottweiler - acceptable - never had one of them before - my son has one - very loyal dog - a tad overprotective though.
Of the whole lot I would probably take the German Shepherd if it was vet checked for hip problems.

Personally, out of the breeds given I would select a Border Collie because I think they are fantastic dogs. That isnt to say the other breeds arent lovely, but a Border Collie would suit my lifestyle the best. Not only that, but I have a little passion for them as we had them growing up and they are just lovely. :)

From your list, I like the Dobe the best ... but I'm not sure I'm confident enough to own one. Someday I hope to be.
Which would I choose to own? In order:
Border Collie
Aussie
GSD
No interest in either the Rott or the Sibe ... both are beautiful dogs, but I don't think I'd be the right owner for either of those breeds.

I'd probably choose the German Shepherd so long as it wasn't an ugly AKC type shepherd with a sloped back and back legs that drag out behind it.

Australian Shepherd (I currently own one called Toby)
Rottweiler
German Shepherd
Dobermann
Border Collie
Husky.

I have the most experience with them and love having them.
Next would be German Shepherd my grandmother had one and he was amazing.
The next ones I would like solely out of looks because I don't have experience with them.
3. Doberman
