What worked for your baby's diaper rash?

I think my daughter is about to start having a rash. It's starting to look very irritated, mostly where I wipe when she poops. I change her pamper every single time she poops or pees with no hesitation, even when she's not finish pooping I still change it because sometimes it takes her awhile to finish. But she poops sooooo much and I'm not sure if it's because she's breast feed or what. Most of the time when she wakes up in the middle of night she would have poop in her pamper so I'm not sure how long it was sitting on her. I use desitin now but did you use something that you felt was better or worked more effectively???

aquapor (sp) is great. it isn't as messy as desitin and their skin absorbs it faster. and never disregard vaseline. worked great for my sister's kids.

First off ur suppose to use A & D ointment eveytime you change your babys diaper so it will not work to cure a rash only to prevent it. My baby had a really bad rash like an open wound. I used a Cvs brand "diaper rash cream" however the most important part is "Zinc Oxide" make sure it has that. Nothing else matters. My doc said the thicker & stinker it is. The more it will work. Good luck

Unfortunately, my daughter would get diaper rashes once in a while at daycare when she was younger. All the diaper rash creams (Desitin, etc) would irriate her skin even more.

My mom used to used Bag Balm on me when I was younger. I used it on her and it worked amazing!! I put a link to the walgreens website below so you can see what it looks like! It's not a typical diaper rash cream, but it works.

Desitin, unless its really bad then i make a paste out of Maalox and baking powder, the rash is gone within a few hours

Use unscented pampers and wipes because this can irritate the rash more. Use powder for redness and if there is bumps, use cream for diaper rashes.

DESITIN WORKS VERY GOOD I USED TO USE VASELINE WITH MY DAUGTHER TOO, I USED TO PUT DESITINE ON HER EVERY TIME I CHANGED HER DIAPER JST TO B IN THE SAFE SIDE, ONE TIME MY DAUGHTER STAYED AT MY MOMS HOUSE OVER NIGHT N SHE HAD GOTTEN A DIAPER RASH, MY MOM USED MAICENA (CORNSTARCH) N IT TOOK THE RASH AWAY BY THE TIME SHE CHANGED THE NEXT DIAPER, I STILL USE IT FROM TIME TO TIME THO
