    True, This! —

    Beneath the rule of men entirely great,

    The pen is mightier than the sword. Behold

    The arch-enchanters wand! — itself a nothing! —

    But taking sorcery from the master-hand

    To paralyse the Cæsars, and to strike

    The loud earth breathless! — Take away the sword —

    States can be saved without it!

    Not that I have a complete understanding of ENGLISH cuz I speak AMERICAN.. but this guy is just ... NUTS!!!!

    The pen is not mightier than the sword. That is supposed to mean that ideas are more powerful than physical might. I dont know if that is true either.

    If you win convincing others with words, it will have a better influence that fighting ... people will remember kindness rather than violence, and you changed that negative attitude to a positive one

    It means that words can be more persuasive then violence. But positive actions can be even more powerful then words. Excellent question!
