What is the size of a typical modeling card?

I'm helping a friend, who's a budding model, put together a modeling card to hand out to agencies, at auditions and screen tests, etc. I have a couple samples, one an oversized postcard and one a single-fold, front-and-back piece that's about 5.5" x 8.5". Is there an industry standard that is preferred? In addition to his height/weight, clothing/shoe sizes, is there any other info that should be included on the card? Thanks for your advice.

Your comp card can be any size you like it to be. I use several sizes, ranging from a business card size, 5" by 8", 12" by 12" and also take a large book with me of my most recent pictures and to show the variety of looks I can do. So I'd say get several, and pick what is most suitable for the person you are sending it/giving it to:)

Oh yes, also you should have your measurements on it, like waist, inseam, hips, shoulders etc...I am assuming you're a dude, so you'll want to give basic formal attire measurements:) Best of Luck :)

I'd just go with the oversized postcard with a headshot of him on it. Add the height and weight plus contact info but omit the clothing/shoe sizes. Pros will know by the ht. and wt. what sizes he most likely wears.

Add any special skills like singing, dancing, skating, skiing or other sports. You might add his age, too. If he's a minor, they'll want to know if he needs a parent to sign the modeling release for any job.

    Good luck!! ; )
