Atheist, what if you are wrong about everything?
What if you are wrong and there is a God? There is a heaven and hell?would you have lived your life differently?
I'm living for something eternal. But, what are you living for.
I'm not here to attack or sound prideful, proud, jerkess, or any of those things. I'm just asking a question.

"would you have lived your life differently?"
No. The god described in the Bible isn't worth worshipping.

Well, with thousands of religions out there, it's more like a huge guessing game for your soul, no matter what religion I would have chosen, so I just went with the one that made more sense, which happened to be more of a lack of religion. The odds of being right and wrong are only slightly different so I'm just like, screw it. If I was Christian, I would still be doing the same thing I'm doing now, except I'd be paying more attention in church I suppose. I used to be Christian and I didn't live much differently, because even as a Christian I lived for the life I live now and not the one I would have in the after life. But after reading the bible, even if that was the true religion, I don't know if he is someone I would want to support. They kind of spice it up to sound nice when they preach the religion, but I've actually read a lot of horrible stuff in there.

Fair enough question.
Atheism - the lack of belief of god/gods
Therefore, if we were wrong then, yea, there would be a god/gods.
If I am wrong then I am wrong..... But I truly believe that any god would not persecute atheists in any way, and actually praise them over most theists. The reason I believe this is because most atheists lack the belief of a Deity because through logic and reasoning and carefully observing the world we live in, they have concluded in their minds that the probability of a god existing is extremely small. Never mind the god that any religion praises.
What if I do end up in hell? Honestly, I would still not respect god at all, and I would not live my life any differently. If I end up in hell humans know nothing and always have and always will. If I end up in hell there is no such thing as reality.
I am living for what I believe we are. A complex assortment of atoms that came to Evolve into what we believe to be an intelligent species. I will live my life to be happy and make others around me happy.
No offense to you, but could I not just as easily ask the question, What if you are wrong about everything?

Pride is not a vice, in almost every society except this one it is a virtue. That is Christian concept aimed at creating humble/meek slaves/servants to a non-existent "God"
This is the only life that I know and that I am sure of, therefore I will live it to the best of my ability. I don't waste my precious time on earth wondering what will happen to me when I die. Christian "dogma" is a straight jacket I refuse to wear, My morals and ethics are better than any Christian's I have ever met, and I am free to think for myself Hallelujah!!.

What if you're wrong and there are actually 1000 gods, and you've failed to worship 999 of them?
I've living for LIFE. We know life exists. We know life is real. Eternal life after death is mostly wishful thinking.

Well I'm living my life for today and not tomorrow, because there is no proof of anything after death. The only "proof" is a book of stories that some men wrote thousands of years ago. Prove it to me and I will change my life today.
It isn't that we don't want there to be something, but rather we don't see how it can be possible. Religion just doesn't add up. That is why there are so many of them out there.

Would I have lived my life differently? No, there would still be no evidence for this god's existence or for that of heaven and hell. I live my life making myself happy and making others around me happy. I see no wrong in that.

I'm living for my kids. Not an eternal reward.
What if you're wrong and Islam is right? Would you have lived your life differently?

Well, if I was really wrong about everything...I'll take my chances. I'm not worried.
What am I living for? Nothing. I simply live. My motto is "be here now". I'm free. I don't have a past to run from or a future to chase. I just am.

I'm living my life for myself, because I want to feel, I want to laugh, I want to BE. I live for my family, my friends, the man I love. I live for so many things, to make a difference in the world, to help ppl, to someday save lives...once I have my Dr's degree.
I live for all of this in more, and I won't let a book tell me what I can and can't love.
I live for discovery, adventure. I live for what is here in front of me, and I love them with all my being because I KNOW they're real, they're here, and they're with me, and because I don't know when life will take them from me.
I live for more than a book, what about you?
