Rush Limbaugh wants segregated buses. Why do conservatives still praise him?

http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/09/17/limbaugh-we...

To paraphrase, Limbaugh claimed that the recent attack of a white student by black students on a bus - which police reported were not racially motivated - was due to "Obama's America", which exists only to repress white people.

He then claimed we need to bring back racially segregated schoolbuses, to protect the white students.

Why do so many Conservatives still like this madman? He's blatantly racist, yet a good ammount of Republicans still hold him as a saint.

What's your opinion? Have you given up on Limbaugh?

Do you think Jonathan Swift had a good idea for the Irish to eat Irish babies in A Modest Proposal?

If it were not hyperbole or sarcasm it would still bother me that you are more concerned about someone suggesting segregated buses than the vicious racially motivated attack on a white student by black students (plural).

OK, I will give some of you the benefit of the doubt and say it was sarcasm. What was the point of the sarcasm? Who was he mocking? What point was he trying to make with a so-called joke about bus segregation? It doesn't make sense. To actually be sarcasm, you have to exaggerate something in order to prove the opposite point. So what was his point? That he is against bus segregation? There is no bus segregation now. Is it supposed to be a criticism of people who promoted segregation in the 60's?

That's BS. He was looking for a way to get the word out. Using a grating, snarky voice does not automatically mean sarcasm.

No, I don't give up on Rush. You have to listen to him to know

when he's "jesting" and when he's not. White students are getting

beat up by Black kids on buses, so he was acting like one way to stop this would be to put them on separate buses (a joke, of course).

Naturally, we'd still have Black on Black fights, and White on White

fights. Kids will still be kids, regardless of color.

He joked about feeding his Mother dogfood ten years ago too,

but surely you don't think he meant it? His reveres his parents

too much to have been serious. You just don't know Rush, and

    his radio show.

You know... When I read questions like this, it is very obvious to me why Liberals always look like they have a stick up their butts. They absolutely cannot tell the difference between sarcasm and a serious comment. Anyone who actually LISTENED to the piece dealing with the kids getting beat up in St Louis could tell (if they had an ounce of sense) that Limbaugh was being sarcastic to make a point.

Oh....Nice try their libby!! He wasn't advocating bus segregation.....he was showing the absurdity of what you liberals are thinking about racism being the motivation behind being against Obama's agendas.

Nice try!! Who's words are you liberals going to twist next?

The response from the conservatives is quite funny. They rip on you for not being able to decipher sarcasm, when you posted a link to an article that did not have audio. And they have completely twisted a gazillion things. They are a hoot.

  • Why is the only two arguments you spout are 1. Racist and 2. It's Bush's fault.?

Rush is NOT a racist. But I guess you think anyone who doesn't think like a liberal is.

BTW how in the world did you become a top contributor?

Lard*** is upset because that loon Beck is beating him in ratings and he will do anything to get the Repubs panties in a bunch! Besides what will segregations help. I am sure that white kids beat up white kids and that black kids will beat up black kids.

Your listening to the wrong news and commentary source. mr Limbaugh was miss-quoted, and his words taken out of context...for the umpteenth time...a regular was the Left slims the truth and tries to discredit the Right.
