What would Jesus be like if he was a Right Wing Fundamentalist Christian?

Would he feed the poor?

Would he cure the sick?

Would he support trickle down economics?

Jesus befriended adulterers, thieves, tax collectors and other undesirables. He spoke against the powers of the church and criticized church leadership publicly for not respecting the reverence of His Father's house. He was criticized by the Church and eventually His crucifixion came about when the Pharisees decided His words were construed as blasphemy to their idea of the true "Word of God."

I guess my point in that brief history lesson is that Jesus would probably be crucified again by the so-called "Christian Right" in this country, who point their fingers, parade in their own pious self-righteousness and do everything but actually try to emulate the life of Christ.

He wouldn't feed the poor. He would only cure the sick if they had enough money and/or insurance, and even then it's no guarantee. He would support supply-side economics where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. He would hate almost anyone that were different than him. He would only watch Fox "News" and Rush Limbaugh would be his god.

Jesus never supported politics. The farthest He went was to say render unto Cesar that which belongs to Cesar and render unto God those things that are God's. Jesus was never right wing or left wing. He was the author of truth. He came to bring truth witch has no political direction. Only man's foolishness tries to steer truth in different directions. The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. And God uses the foolishness of this world to confound the wise.

    To the sick: Heal yourselves!

To the poor: Jet a job, you bum!

To the hungry: You could feed yourself if you weren't so lazy!

To the Government: Render Unto Cesear NOTHING!

The question is moot-Jesus would Not Be a right-wing, fundamentalist.

Well, that's one way to avoid the hurtful answer, state he's not politically motivated.

Does it strike you that his teachings are pretty much the exact opposite of the conservative movement.

Jesus never said "F##k you, too bad". He helped everyone, whether they liked, followed and worshipped him or hated, left, or even persecuted him.

No he'd want people to starve since they choose to live in poverty, if you can't afford health care then guess you'll suffer for it. And if it doesn't help the super-rich then he wouldn't support any other economy than the one that got us into this mess.
