Few questions about marine bootcamp?

-You have alot of basic rights actually....but all you need to know is that you have the right to report physical abuse and you'll learn the rest when you get there. To tell you all of your rights would kind of ruin your experience plus there's too many to list here.

-On an average training day you'd go to bed at 2000 (8pm) and wake up at 0400 (4am)

- all the MREs are pretty good....the veggie omlette one has the best sides but the worst entre ..kind of a pain in the ***.

- I wouldn't really consider it free time....its called square away time and yes you'll be able to use the head (restroom) if you need to you will be able to read and write letters once all your gear is ready to go for the next day....as for talking to other recruits.....your not supposed to but thats the time where you get away with a few whispers here and there.

-as for blanket parties.....no they are not legal...but do they happen?...i guess you'll find out when you get there.

- the best part of boot camp was the crucible i think....it was the hardest but i thought the training was awesome.

- the parris island weather then is cold as hell at night...but pretty warm during the day.....really muggy and humid.

-some recruits only have to wear their BCGs for the rifle range....it just depends you'll find out when you get there.

-his title is guide and yes the guide will be fired numerous times throughout recruit training....but he's not garunteed E3.....to get E3 you have to go into boot camp as a contract PFC and graduate as the company honor guide which means you were the best in your entire company which could be as big as 600 recruits. but even then they dont always give E3 out of boot camp....but you could just graduate as a squad leader and get E2 out of boot camp.

-Yes christmas is pretty much just another day....they might give you a really good meal and maybe a 5 minute phone call home but thats about it.....business as usuall

-yes you'll also get to shoot a either the m249 or the 240G which are both crew served machine guns. You'll also shoot a sim round out of an AT4 which is like a bazooka.
