Let ABC be a triangle. Two straight lines which are parallel to the side AC divide the triangle into three figures of equal area. in what parts is the side AB divided by the lines, if AB=10cm?

    AB is one side of the whole Area (Triangle) from whom the three areas were taken. Namely a Triangle & 2 Trapezoids.

    A line(AB) can not be a part of itself. Or line AB is 1 part of itself.

    Only the the three line resulted from the intersection of the two parallel line dividing line AB become the smaller parts of AB.
