Who should I try out for in 13 the Musical?

I'm certainly an alto, but I'm getting much better at high notes, so now I'm somewhat of a mezzo-soprano

I could try out for Patrice, my number one choice, I'm just not sure if, as an alto, I could hit all the notes she sings...but i LOVE the character & songs...

My second choice would be Lucy, but I know there's no way I could sing her songs...she's a belter, and I'm not...but i'd LOVE to play the bad girl!!

My third choice would be...Kendra. I really don't like the character, and since I'm more of an actress than a singer, that's disappointing...Any Minute is my favorite song in the musical, but I don't want to be a character JUST to sing a song i like

Then of course I could go for a minor role (Molly, since I can sing her stuff), but I want to ACT more than sing...

Overall, 13 is a really bad show for an alto, so I need help deciding who I should try out for...thanks!

OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT MUSICAL SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!! haha nice go for it! k i dont really remember their names very well but i think Patrice wold be a good one (i enjoyed her part :D) sorry, im sure youve already heard this, but try singing scales for like a half hour a day. im in chorus and since the school year started my range has already increased by about 6 notes. If you do decide to go for a minor, no worries! sometimes minors are the best parts! you can sing the parts well, and you can also steal the attention when your in the background ;). haha goodness im jealous i want to be in that musical :)
