    Its body is NOT half of its own length! That's not sensible!

    The whale's head is 72 "

    The whale's tail is 72" + half of its length.

    Whale

    Head......................Tail

    72"..........72" + 1/2 the length

    So 72" and 72" are each 1/4 of its length

    The tail must be 3/4 of the whale

    72" = 1/4 length

    Full length = 4 x 72" = 288" or 24 feet

    Small whale!
