I think my dog has a uti?

I have a 2 1/2 yr lab mix, And I think she has a uti. Before I get the hate responses, she has an appt for noon w/ her vet. I just wanted to know if there is something more I should prepare myself for, if it could be something more serious. She can pee, but then she tries again 2 min later but doesn't do anything. I also seen a bloody drip hanging off of her, but haven't seen any blood in her urine when she does pee (Trust me I have been watching, lol) I was just wondering if you all think its a uti, or if I need to prepare myself for something more serious. Thank you for all your input in advance.

Update:

yes she is fixed, and acting fine in everyother way, eating, drinking, playing

Spayed or neutered dogs are more susceptible to developing the condition because their reproductive organs (which are responsible for the production of hormones) have been removed. Incontinence is most frequently observed in spayed females between the ages of three and five.

I'm not really an expert on this kind of thing - it's good that you made an appointment with your vet and I hope it's nothing more than a UTI.

From my experience (although it was with my cat) he looked to have a UTI and there was blood in his pee - it ended up being crystals and it wasn't life threatening (I'm sure it would be if it was left untreated). But he had to have surgery and now he's on a special food to help prevent any UTI's or anything reltated to that kind of thing.

I am not really sure. Honestly, I'd be prepared for anything if I were you, just in case.

Good luck at the vets, I do hope it's nothing too serious.
