I need beer pong decorations!?
I've decided I am going to throw my husband and his friends a beer pong party when they get back from over seas. I have all the equipment, but I can't find much for decorations. I have found lots of posters, but I am looking for some kind of streamers w/ cups and balls on it, or a strings of lights in beer pong theme, banners. Does anyone know of a website I can get them from? I have checked but couldn't come up w/ anything.
1 AnswerBeer, Wine & Spirits1 decade agohow to get my dogs claws trimmed?
My dog will not let anyone near her paws, not just for claw trimming, she doesn't let anyone touch her paws at all. When she was a puppy I had to hold her while the vet trimmed, well 3 years and 80 lbs later, that is no longer an option. Last time at the vet, I tryed my hardest to hold her down, but then she started snapping at the vet, so we had to muzzle her then she squirmed so much and backed herself into the wall and I had to hold the top part of her body up so she didn't kill the vet and even then he couldn't cut as much as was needed and now looking at her nails all that stress we put on her and it didn't help at all and was completle pointless. I am making an appt w/ a different vet tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else had this kind of trouble clipping a big dogs claws and if you have found a way of doing it w/o stressing out the dog so much. Any advice would be great and what should I expect a vet to do to be able to get them clipped. Obviously the last vet didn't have the experience to deal w/ a dog that squirmish w/ nail trimmings.
11 AnswersDogs1 decade agoSun conure reaching sexual maturity?
I have a Sun conure, I don't know if it is a boy or a girl (but I call her a she, lol). She just turned 1 year old back in june. She has always been so social, she would go to anyone. In the last month or two she has been not very nice at all. She is still fine for me and my husband, we can both hold her and cuddle her and she gives us lots of kisses. But my kids can't hold her anymore she started getting quite nippy w/ them, they can feed her snacks and stuff by hand, but she will not let them hold her at all. And anyone else that even looks at her through the cage she gets her feathers all ruffled up and will go at them w/ beak wide open, lol. Its not that big of a deal if she is turning into a one (or two ) person bird. I got her for me, so I feel lucky that she has picked me, but I was just wondering if maybe she was reaching mating age or something. She is my only bird and I have no intentions of breeding her, I was just wondering if that was an explanation for her not so friendly behavior lately. She was just at the vet to be checked out and have her wings done, so I know she is all healthy and everything. Any responses are welcome!
3 AnswersBirds1 decade agoclipping birds wings....?
I just had my birds wings clipped at the vet today. The poor guy that had to do the holding got all bit up. My sun conure is hand tame, I hold her all the time, but that's all she like...she wants to be out on your arm, shoulder, top of my head, wherever, but she doesn't like to be touched. She won't let me scratch her neck or touch her back or wings. So it was quite an ordeal and very stressful for her today. I was wondering if any of you could tell me any ideas so next time, the poor vet doesn't get bit up again. Also some tips on getting her to be more comfortable w/ me touching her. I do try to scratch her neck and stuff, but she just grabs my finger w/ her beak (not hard like a bite or anything, she only bites other people) and pushes it away, lol. Any tips are very much appreciated.
4 AnswersBirds1 decade agoCould anyone tell me about blue-crown conures?
Hi, I have had a sun conure for a while now, and have been thinking about getting another bird. I decided since I picked my sun conure, I would let my kids pick the next bird..They decided on the blue crown conure (yes Paulie is their favorite movie, lol). I really don't know a lot about them...Are their personalities similar to the suns? Do they have the same diet? Do they get along w/ others (not in the same cage as my sun, but could they both be out of their cages at the same time, or do I have to take them out separately?). Since they are a bit bigger than suns, are they a lot louder as well? Thank you in advance for all your help!
1 AnswerBirds1 decade agoI would like to add another bird to the family....?
I have a beautiful sun conure, she loves everyone, anyone can hold her, she is just awesome. I was wondering if anyone has any idea of another kind of bird w/ a similar personality. Not for the same cage or anything, but one that is just as friendly w/ everyone, not a one person bird. I would love an african grey, but I know they are very one person birds. I would like one that the whole family could enjoy. any suggestions are welcome...thanks for your time
3 AnswersBirds1 decade agoI am looking for my dad?
I am trying to find my dad, I have not seen him since I was 13 (im 27 now). I have his social, birthday, and name, but I can't find a phone number for him. I have already payed for one search, but for some reason it didn't come w/ a phone number. I was wondering if any of you knew where I could get the number for free, I really don't want to pay any more and not get what it is I am looking for. Thank you for any info.
2 AnswersFamily1 decade agoMoving to Louisiana, thinking about homeschooling my girls...?
We are set to move to Ft Polk LA at the beginning of January. I have not heard anything good about the school system so I have seriously been considering homeschooling, but need to be pointed in the right direction. I don't even know where to start. I have never been home schooled, I don't even know anyone that was home schooled So I don't know what the requirements are, where to get curriculum's, nothing. My oldest is in 1st grade now, and my youngest will be pre k age when we get there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
11 AnswersHome Schooling1 decade agoI have a very nippy 8 week old puppy?
I have a 8 week old puppy, I really don't know what to do w/ him. This is not my first puppy, I have had many puppies in my day, and never came across such a people biter. I have tried redirecting (unlatching him from my arm, tell him no, and give him something he is supposed to be biting on) I have Chew toys in a variety of textures and sizes all over my house. I have tried putting him in the kitchen by himself until he calms down (behind a baby gate). I play w/ him outside every little while to make sure he is not just too bored. I have finally bought a muzzle w/ the idea that he starts biting I try everything else to no avail, put the muzzle on until he calms down, take off the muzzle...repeat. I would really rather not use a muzzle at all, so if anyone has any really good suggestions for a very head strong puppy would be very much appreciated. His daddy is a pointer, and his mama is a lab/australian shepard mix. I have a 2 1/2 year old lab also, so I know all about the lab puppy rambunctiousness, but this is much worse.
13 AnswersDogs1 decade agoIs it ok to put 2 different species of birds together?
I have a sun conure in a huge Macaw size cage (yes, I know she spoiled). I would like to get a friend for her, but didn't know if its ok to mix birds in the same cage. Also I do not want any baby birds, will birds of different species mate? Or would it be better to get my bird dna'd and get the same gender to be on the safe side. If any of you know of a bird of similar size that would get along any info would be great, Thanks in advance.
5 AnswersBirds1 decade agohow well would we make out to move ourselves?
my husband is in the army and we will be moving soon from benning to polk, were not new to moving and know the army will move us, but I was just wondering if we would make out better by moving ourselves. Uhauls are fairly inexpensive, and am considering it, if it will benefit us financially. Its only about a 11 hour drive, does anyone know about what the going rate is if we were to move ourselves? thank you in advance!
3 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoI think my dog has a uti?
I have a 2 1/2 yr lab mix, And I think she has a uti. Before I get the hate responses, she has an appt for noon w/ her vet. I just wanted to know if there is something more I should prepare myself for, if it could be something more serious. She can pee, but then she tries again 2 min later but doesn't do anything. I also seen a bloody drip hanging off of her, but haven't seen any blood in her urine when she does pee (Trust me I have been watching, lol) I was just wondering if you all think its a uti, or if I need to prepare myself for something more serious. Thank you for all your input in advance.
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoFt Polk LA info please?
My husband just came down on orders to Ft. Polk. I was wondering if anyone can tell me a little about it. Are there elementary schools on post? Are they good schools? How is the housing, is it new or old? What is their off post close by, malls, walmarts, zoo's, aquariums? thank you for all your input.

2 AnswersReptiles1 decade agoPutting weight on a dog?
My neighbor has a very thin german shepard. He is healthy, goes to the vet, he gets a full bowl of food twice a day, and has all kind of treats (doggy ice cream, doggy cookies) The dog is absolutely spoiled, so I know underfeeding isn't the problem. He is a very active dog, he runs around w/ my Lab every time they are outside, and very rarely lays down, lol. I'm guessing its just do to high metabolism since he is so active, but she does worry about him, and the vet hasn't come up w/ any answer. He is just over 2 years old. Any advice would be great!
