Acrobat writer is a software where you can make changes to a pdf file. Well now a days many softwares have the option of saving the file in pdf formats and it can be later viewed in Acrobat reader. The term reader means that the user wud only read and not write,,,means no modification no alteration...and in acrobat writer you can read and write means you can open a file and make any changes....Good luck

What's wrong with Adobe Acrobat Reader? It's probably the best.

Considering that Adobe Systems created the PDF format and only licenses it to all the other developers who make PDF readers, I highly doubt that any of them will be "better," but it depends on your needs.
