Jeff Hardy-Character Study of The Charismatic Enigma(Long Question)?

We all know Jeff Hardy as being the man of the attention at every mistake that he does. If he gets suspended he gets bashed here a lot but then it wasn't too far ago whe he was basically worthy of the main event run. This is just another character study which will see things about Jeff Hardy and how the fans not only react to Jeff but basically their outlook on some wrestlers.

To start things of I would talk about his days in the Team Xtreme. He and Matt were popular among the fans because of their talents and how they revolutionized the ladder match. They're seen as the future of wrestling and with their highflying antics they're proved to be a success even managed to have a reincarnation not a long time ago. Matt and Jeff had always wanted to be wrestlers and they're living their dreams and then just like any tag team they can't be in the tag team scene for long because if they stay there they would bury themselves in that spot so a seperation was in the future. Just like any tag team there's a World championship potential and there's just the other one. Mostly because of Jeff being seen as the one doing the flashy spots and the crazy highflying moves he's seen more of the one with the potential and Matt is just there even though he is seen (well right now) as the better Hardy Jeff still got the push and even though because of his renowned drug use got him fired he got the things that people right now had been saying he doesn't deserve. Like I said he's the one who's said as the one with the "World championship potential" of The Hardy Boyz.

He took a break from the big league WWE and just stayed with the more schedule friendly TNA. There he's able to work with his band Peroxwhy?gen and all but then he decides to return to WWE. Everyone accepted him with open arms. No one even criticized him as far as I know. There wasn't any Jeff Hardy hater in WWE and when he returned some people are reintroduced to Jeff Hardy (well people who just watches WWE). Not long he became as one of the most popular wrestler in WWE. He wasn't pushed as much but because of his extraordinary wrestling style people grew to love him because they find him very unique. While he's in the mid-cards not dominating the main event scene everyone like Jeff Hardy. He barely talked and all he did was dance during his entrance no one really noticed on how "bogus" he is just because he ain't a main eventer yet. Some of those people criticizing him now admit it or not had praised him and kept saying he deserves to be in the main event. How he has the talents to get WWE into the next level. He's praised that sometimes he grew overrated but because he's not certainly in the main event he's not as people say "overrated".

Then he becomes so popular from the um uh "WWE Universe" that a main event scene is ready for him and as he enters the main event he's now suddenly "overrated" becuse of how "he's not that good". I'm not Jeff Hardy's number 1 fan but I just have no idea why I see people call im overrated when back then he was "championship material". It just makes me wonder how he just entered the main event scene and now he's overrated whn not a long time ago they were praising him for his talents and being able to bring it to the next level. So this grew resent from Jeff Hardy even today he's not wrestling anymore but he's still in the attention of the IWC.

As the wrestlers become in the main event people keep a close eye on them. Jeff Hardy is an example. Everytime he wins the championship all I see is "Fúck he doesn't deserve it" or "OMG (opponent's name) should had retained/won the championship". It's just how everytime he gets something he ain't deserving it even though years ago he "deserves to be there".

Now to another subject-Jeff Hardy's famous drug use.

I know wrestlers had done drugs before and they're not criticised for it. But when the "overrated" Jeff Hardy gets suspended because of drug use then people here would go crazy like a big celebrity just died. They would go saying "He had done it again" or "I had lost respect for Jeff Hardy" and things like this. Back then when he returned not that much people acknowledged his drug abuse but then as he gets a big amount of popularity then his drug use's one of the topic that really makes the haters proud to talk about. Not realising that probably their favorite wrestlers had done drugs in the past. But then because they hate Jeff Hardy they would find a hole to poke and his drug use is just probably an excuse to hate him more. Is it just it's one of the reasons to hate him or just simply an excuse to hate him more due to it being more public without them even realising that their favorite wrestlers had at one point had done drugs?? Look at his recent drug bust he's criticized for doing drugs even though I know they have reasons for the hate but still blaming him for his drug use. Even though sme wrestlers had admitted of doing drugs but they're not criticised for that.

And

Update:

And also his status as a wrestler-not as a main eventer or a midcarder but how he's just a wrestler.

He had admitted that wrestling isn't certainly his love in life and his main focus is music. He might not be the most passionate wrestler ever but then he does everything for the fans. Some death-defying stunts just to get the fans excited. But then becausehe said he loves music more he's criticised of not having wrestling as his first love even though he had done crazy shít just for the fans. I respect Jeff Hardy because I know he would do anything for the fans but then people just ignore it because of his flaws.

Update 2:

So here's a couple of questions:

Why do people have to think of tag teams as "The one with the potential" and "the other one"??

Why is Jeff criticised for his drug use but then not realising that other wrestlers had done it before infact almost all had done drugs??

Why are people assuming if a wrestler comes to the main event he's now classified as "overrated"??

Why do people oversee the things wrestlers had done and just notices if their hated wrestlers made a mistake??

I hope you enjoyed reading and hope to see some great answers :)

Update 3:

It's afternoon in my place.

Nothing good's on TV.

My friends are busy.

I'm bored as fúck.

So yeah.

    .You're absolutely right.

Why do people have to think of tag teams as "The one with the potential" and "the other one"??

    - People are smarks. Straight and simple. They always want to be right. Instead of just enjoying the show, people feel as if they have to sit back and analyze every little detail of the WWE. Why are they doing this? Why are they not? What's the point? Why is WWE missing the point?

I'll use the team of Brian Kendrick and Paul London as an example. Right when they were getting ready to split, everyone started making guesses as to who would be pushed and who would be put on the back burner. Unfortunately, WWE DOES do that a lot. They choose one guy to push with the intention of pushing the other guy eventually, but never really getting around to it. The WWE Universe has recognized that and always tries to analyze who will be the one to get pushed so they can get some sense of self-righteous "I'm better than you" attitude.

Brian was pushed, while London had maybe one match after the split, and was released from the WWE. During that whole scenario, though, the fans would sit there and point out Kendrick's marijuana use or the fact that London broke character to laugh when Vince had the "limo explosion." They always want to be right, just so when their choice gets pushed, they can say "I told you so!"

When Brian got pushed, people were extremely happy. They preferred him over London, I guess. But after a while, people got annoyed with Kendrick's character and whined and cried about how they wanted London to get pushed instead.

Why is Jeff criticised for his drug use but then not realizing that other wrestlers had done it before, in fact almost all had done drugs?

-The bottom line there is, people only see what they want to see. Maybe Eddie Guerrero is their favorite wrestler. I may be pushing a line with this, but Eddie didn't die because of some horrible accident or because of some disease. He died because his past drug use destroyed him. Yet whenever ANYONE mentions Eddie, the only thing they seem keen to remember is everything Eddie did without the drug use.

No matter how you tell the story, the drug use is still there, and unfortunately, the drug use is what harmed him. These people think that because Jeff is not their favorite, then they have all the right to judge him. They look beyond the truth for their own favorite wrestler, but then when it comes to "that other guy", Hardy, they think they can say whatever they want without sounding like the biggest hypocrite on earth.

Why are people assuming if a wrestler comes to the main event he's now classified as "overrated"??

-It happens with basically any wrestler. I remember when everybody was beyond pissed that Randy Orton wasn't making it to the main event. "OH RANDY DESERVES TO WIN!!!" "Why'd they let Triple H win at Wrestlemania? That should have been Orton's night!" Then at the next PPV, Orton wins, and suddenly he's the WWE Champion. Now everyone is whining and crying that Randy didn't deserve to be Champ when they could give it to someone else.

I remember when everyone whined and cried about Kofi never getting anything. He wins the U.S Title and people suddenly stop caring about him. Now they're coming on here to ask why Kofi hasn't lost his title yet.

Why do people oversee things wrestlers have done and just notices if their hated wrestlers make a mistake??

-Same reason as I stated in number two. The people see what they want to see. They act like no one else in the business has done drugs. Honestly, in my opinion, if these people are going to hate a wrestler based on their drug use, then the only wrestler they should watch is CM Punk. But Punk is going to be wrestling people who have used drugs, so they should just stop watching wrestling altogether.

People are hypocrites, bottom line. They see beyond the truth and see what they want to see. They act like it is their position to judge. They call Jeff a spot monkey, when in fact, these same people would piss their pants if asked to do a Swanton off a Titantron.

WQ1: Because tag teams cannot stay as a tag team forever. WWE

breaks tag teams more often because of several reasons but most primarily, WWE needs to change storylines especially when they see that the other guy is more popular than his partner.

WQ2: Sorry Jeff Hardy fans but I see him as a weak person despite his aerial moves inside the ring. He needs to get tougher but he already fell to his addiction which ruins his reputation as a pro wrestler.

People criticize him because they know that Jeff is not a pure wrestler, small, ugly wardrobe yet marketable and he is not concern about his health.

WQ3: Not all but most main eventers do because more kids love them and buy more WWE merchandise and older fans hate that.

WQ4: Because mistakes define the manhood of a wrestler and if everyone talks about the beauty of the wrestler alone, then that will be a "boring" world.

When the team split up it was Matt Hardy Version 1 that looked like he could of been a main eventer. He had the Matt Facts which was the best Titan Tron ever and he had the V1 hand sign deal. He had everything then WWE decided to make him do promos....and just like Bobby Lashley it was clear that interviews were is weakness. Matt's time on ECW as champion was great and the Mark Henry feud was entertaining as was the scramble match.

Outside of being "brothers" tag teams were designed to put two wrestlers who lack certain skills together in hopes that one would be a break out star. Case point Road Dog and Billy Gunn were two random boring low mid card jobbers but together as the New Age Outlaws they were "entertaining".

Well Jeff looked like he was on something all the time....you could see it in his eyes just like Randy Orton.

Emo boy did a good job at putting over the current champion CM Punk....if it wasn't for the feud CM Punk would still be on Raw playing poker with JBL or rubbing noses with Randy Orton.....which would be a huge waste of his talent.

sorry RNW, as cool as you are I do not feel like reading all of that.

    to your questions

    1. Most likely because they see an instant comparison between the two so immediatly they pick the one who they think is better. For instance if you say Masked NIghtmare and MN Heat in the same sentence you would compare us instantly and note we have MN as shortened names. You would also notice how much more known he is then me, its simple human instinct to compare when seeing two names together.

    2. This one is easy, simply because his is more public and recent then others. Sure Rey Mysterio got suspended recently but its still not very public, look at Jeff before he left WWE his past feuds have all mentioned his drug problems. If say HBK was mentioned for his old drug problems I bet it would be the same.

    3. I've always been puzzled by that one, it seems there can't be a main event push without people screaming overrated. Very puzzling why people always do that, perhaps just because they don't like who's being pushed. who knows.

    4. Its human instinct too immediatly look at the bad before the good. think about it, do you honestly think Michael Vick or OJ Simpson will be remembered for their careers? No way. Simple human nature.

my one and only beef with jeff hardy is the fact he is looked upon as being cool by little kids even though he does drugs. he's not that good on the mic, i think michael cole does a better job with the mic than hardy.

    so there you go.

my question is why do people still support jeff hardy but when they see the name of Chris Benoit (who was inarguably 100x better than hardy ever could be) they freak out?

Yeah well unlike Masked Imbecile I read it. Agree completely. You may know I'm a huge Jeff fan but I did lose respect for Jeff this time he got busted. It was the fact that it was his 3rd time he was caught, he should of learned his lesson but he failed. He couldn't even last 2 weeks away from WWE without taking substances.

Jeff on the IWC is hated. Due to 70% of the IWC being ignorant face bashing dullards.

I was planning on writing more than you. But my fingers ache. So mm this is it. My answer. Shaamoosh.

First of all, what the hell possessed you to type all that? Now, to your question, i don't know why people criticize Jeff. He's a good wrestler and people need to give him a chance. i mean, a lot of wrestlers have done drugs or any illegal substances. I don't think that wrestlers are overrated when they make a main event appearance. it just shows that some wrestlers are simply better than others. People oversee the good things wrestlers have done because they don't see them. People like CM Punk( still love you!!!) think that they are better and don't see the accomplishments other people have done! Hope you like this answer!!
