Looking for a one way car rental from NH to San Antonio, TX?
I've been looking online at all the websites for the major car rental companies like Hertz, Enterprise, Avis etc and I'm getting these outrageous quotes that are like $1200 to $2000.. I know there are weekly rental deals and deals that are $20 bucks a day and such but I'm not finding anything that is one-way.. everything I see is for same pick up and drop off locations.. this can't be correct.. there has to be something out there for a deal on travelling one way.. I mean isn't a car rental supposed to be to travel in? Obviously I know that travelling a long distance like this will cost a little more but those prices were outrageous. Does anyone have any ideas or input on what to search for and how to find a deal etc.. thank you

You can't rent a one-way for the cheap rates. If you see 1200 then go for it. You might as well fly.
The thing is, each agency has a fleet of cars. You're taking one away, which means they have to replace it. That cost the owner money. At the same time the owner of the agency at your destination has to deal with having a new car in his fleet. Each place is individually owned.
It is the same thing with renting a UHaul one way.

properly, you're rather constrained, with the aid of fact no longer all vehicle condo places will enable you to tension out of state. the only i will think of of spectacular off the precise of my head is Alamo, yet a minivan for around $250? i don't be attentive to roughly that. examine their website for specials. by the form, in case you do no longer could have a vehicle, Southwest airlines is having a sale. One individual can fly around trip to Orlando from San Antonio for approximately $2 hundred. If that's an determination... good success!

Check http://sidestep.com/ for rates - the distance on a one-way shouldn't make any difference.
