shooting models at a florida beach at 5pm on the east coast.ormond or new symrna...i need advice....?
i told the models manager that the sun rises beautifully in the east, but it will be setting in the west. she claims that i can still get beautiful shots st the beach at that time..this is my second beach shoot...i have a nikon d300..a nikon 50mm 1.8..tamron 28-300..sigma 10-20..nikon 18-55, and a nikon 10-70..is she right?? what can i do to make this a decent shoot??

Go to http://www.shutterbug.com/ and type 'get it right' in the Search box. Scroll down and then click on the article "Get It Right... In the Camera... " by Steve Bedell. It was in the May 2008 issue.
Bedell is a Master Photographer and his article will definitely help you be successful with your shoot.
Articles like this are why I constantly suggest subscribing to a photography magazine. Yes, my personal favorite is SHUTTERBUG but you really should read every photography magazine on the newstand (after you BUY them) and make your own decision. Or see what's available at the library.

Just a comment; check the sunset times for the day of the shoot. You should be able to get some great images. Sunset may very likely be a little past 7pm.
Flash is your friend :)

Step 1: find a perfect background.
Step 2: put your model in front of this background and shoot the shot. Besides knowing how to pose your subject, that's pretty much it.

Use the sunset as your fill in light if your using flash...
the sun will be lighting the model and the water will be dark
