From Nigeria a number of Indians get lotteries worth several crores everyday. What is the secret ?

I have received atleast four messages from different agencies informing me about my wiining a lottery of email addresses

and asking me to contact.....so and and so for getting the prize

money. On contacting the agency, I am asked to send certain amount towards courier charges, If I send it then they ask more

money for legal clearances etc.

    Oh, for goodness sake!

First of all, have you entered any of these so called lotteries?????

Second, why are you opening mail from people you do not know???

It is a scam to get your personal information and/or money.

    Do not respond to it.

Report it to yahoo, so they are aware.

Forward to spam@yahoo.com or spoof@yahoo.com (If it involves a lot of money)

And for your E-mail safety, remember:

Never open E-mail unless you are absolutely sure of who sent it, treat ALL others as spam.

Never give your personal information out to anyone, be it E-mail, snail mail, phone calls or at your front door.

    Hi Buddy,

These are all scams. Ask yourself, If you have not played any lottery then how is it possible to win it? These people show you a carrot of huge prize money and extract money for courier charges. They also ask for your confidential info.which is never safe to disclose on web.

I also get such mails. In order to know the reality , I called on a number given as contact person which was supposed to be some foreign number of a foreigner.

The person on the other side had hard Indian accent with below average fluency. He was traveling in public conveyance because all sort of abuses and local language words could be heard in background.

Mails like Microsoft Lottery ,Google Lottery, Yahoo Lottery are fake because these companies are into serious business and do not play lotteries.

I am not from India and i get a fair number of those emails regularly. Don't respond to them. It is just people trying to get rich quick by scamming poor people like us.

Its pure cheating business. Remember lottery can never be woned without playing it. My recomedation is never to play lottery its also cheating idea to earn money who organises it. Dont try these things , it will put you heavy trouble

Source(s): Basic of lottery is to collect money from who plays it. Give handsome commission who sales it. distribute 4 to 5 % among whole players to attract them repeatedly. Organises always refers what has been played before declaring results
