Can ladies be philosophical?

Sure! Ladies who are logical and not just balls of emotions (aka irrationality), can be philosophical.

I love it when Ayn Rand figures every time a question relating women and philosophy appears here, but not many other names are mentioned here.

Here's an excellent write-up about women and philosophy. I urge every kid to read it if they're trying out their luck in this field.

YES THEY CAN! I'm a woman and I love philosophy and talking about different philosophical questions. And I have a good FEMALE friend who is one of my favourite people to talk about these things. I have my views on the world, I have my theories that I have thought a lot about. And this has nothing to do with being emotional. One can be both philosophical and emotional. being philosophical means you are questioning the world around you. you can question the world and be emotional. In fact for me those things kind of go hand in hand. I get emotional when I start thinking about life and the world around me.

I doubt women could deal with the average man without being philosophical.

My philosophy buddy is female. Some are not cut out to have an impartial eye and ignore emotions when it comes to the topic of truth. However, I've met a few who are fellow sojourners.

I'm very philosophical, but maybe I've just out grown my more emotional years. Naaa... I've always enjoyed math and logic. It was mama who taught me a system for solving logic puzzles.

As a missionary, yes I enjoyed helping people, but I also enjoyed a good theological discussion.

The latest thing to catch my interest is epistemology. In sunday school a woman college professor suggested that all science and faith start in the imagination. From there I'm thinking that all knowledge starts in the imagination. A baby's eyes work just fine but it has no way to define what it sees. With it's little brain waves it is imagining meanings for all the shapes and colors it sees. Later it learns the words that people around them use to express meaning.

Is that philosophical enough for you?

"Time" is not "the measurement of time" in the same way as a sundial is not the sun. Linear space/time is to the singularity, as the concept of 2-D space is to the 3-D. We know that a definitively physical 2 dimensional...dimension...exists, because the 3rd dimension exists, and yet we can only know of it conceptually speaking since everything existing within our dimension is comprised of 3 dimensions, with time as the 4th. In the same way, our 3/4th dimensional reality is simply an aspect of a higher dimension which is "timeless" just as a 3-D object is "2-D-less". Yet the 2-D exists within its own plain as a physical necessity, and so does time. We, human consciousness, is the 3/4th dimensional aspect of the singular God Consciousness. "We" don't exist, only "god" exists, just like the 2-D flat dimension doesn't exist, only the cube exists.

Well, Ayn Rand invented a philosophy so I'm going to go ahead and guess yes.
