Someone hacked my MSN - what can I do?
Someone appears to have hacked into one of my msn accounts and from that address has sent all my contacts past and present a link to check who has recently blocked you from MSN.
This has freaked me out. I don't know very much about computers. One of my contacts was my young daughter so I have closed our accounts, deleted off our contacts and deleted off photo albums etc. Is there anything else I can do?
How does someone hack your comp? why do they do it?
Also, I had two accounts, will contacts from one account now be able to find out details of my other accounts?
Any helpful answers a.s.ap would be gratefully received.
Hi Guys. Ive gone on an altered all the passwords - I think. Ive deleted off contacts and photos etc and Ive closed the accounts down - you think that may have done it.

You have not been "hacked". Either you or someone with access to your computer recently received such an e-mail or you were displayed a pop-up while browsing the internet which asked for your MSN credentials. You then entered these yourself and by that you agreed to the terms of the website in question. In these terms it is written that you allow them to send such a message to all your contacts. If anyone of your contacts enters his or her MSN credentials as well, their contacts will receive such a message as well. Et cetera. Change all your passwords and secret questions and send apologies to all your contacts. There are various of such "services" on the internet. They all rely on their victims to enter their own credentials.

Hi, First of all change the passwords to all your online accounts to something TOTALLY different to what your old password was.
Also get an anti virus software installed on your computer if you havent already got one. You can get one for free from www.free.avg.com.

Change your password AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Then check and set any suspicious settings that have set in account settings. For example secondary email which could be used for sending password changing link.
