1 year old with a cold......?

New mom has a little one with a cold and needs some suggestions...

When she was teething my pediatrician recommended a tiny amount of tylenol to ease her at night , ive been doing the same with the cold.

ive been keeping her in warm clothes at night (its pretty cold in my house) and i give her a warm bath 1-2 times a day to ease her also.

What other medicines can help with a cold?

is there anything else you would recommend that i do?

Update:

how much mucinex should i give her?

Chicken soup, steamy baths, eucalyptus oil or rub, plenty of rest and lots of fruit juice. Those are some ways that I treat a cold in my house. Mainly chicken soup with lots of garlic and fresh herbs.

I would stop the tylenol and switch to something for children like triaminic thin strips or mucinex(both work very well). Tylenol isn't okay for little bodies unless its been approved by a dr. and also try vick's vaporub and a vapor bubble bath stuff :)

I would take her to a different doctor ! You can't tell what the right amount of medication is for a small child !
