Earth's Rotation - The first ones that we know about are Hiketas of Syracuse and Herakleides of Pontus Probably somewhere between about 530 BC and 350 BC. Also Aristarchus of Samos (310 BC - about 230 BC)
Medication - Ancient Egyptians somewhere around 3500 years ago.
Electricity - Ancient Greeks more than 1000 years ago (Ancient Greeks discovered that rubbing fur on amber caused an attraction between the two.)
DNA - Friedrich Miescher in 1869 (Watson and Crick determined the structure of DNA)
Global Warming - US military POST WW2, saw climatic change and followed by research
Moon Landing - Unmanned Aircraft by Soviet Union Luna 2 September 13, 1959 and Manned Apollo 11 on September 13, 1959 by the USA
Mars Landing - The first space mission to make a landing on Mars was the Viking mission sent up by the United States of America. The Viking probe made a successful landing on Mars on 20 July, 1976.
