Which is better, xbox 360 elite, or ps3 slim?

Question

Alright, I know there is a huge debate over this and these are what I saw to be the main differences: the ps3 slim is the better console (you get free online play, and built in blu-ray) but the xbox has better games (and is backwards compatible).  I'm torn, I want to buy one, but I don't know what to do.  I do have a bias towards the ps3 controller, I never warmed to the xbox 360 controller, but I'd like to hear opinions from people who have both?

the ps3 is awsome dont listen to them.

theres some great exclusives coming out so now would be the time to buy with the ps3 u get SOOOOO many more features. 

And dont worry what they say about xboxlive its worthless who needs facebook or twitter while playing a game? 

I have a ps3 and its great free wifi upgradeable HDD's great games like littlebigplanet and the quality of the games are going up exceeding that of a xbox 360.

I felt the same way as you did about the controllers but you will get used to it after a few hours of play.  I would suggest that you go with the Xbox 360 Elite because of the sheer abundance of the games.  Games such as Halo 3 and Left 4 Dead (the second one will be released as well) make it worth your every penny.  Yes, the PS3 online is free, but their servers are crappier than Xbox 360's servers and that's why in Xbox they charge you for it.  Connections to PS3 network occasionally slow down and even get disconnected when you have a lot of action going on within an online game.  Games over 16 players online get glitchy quiet often than you would expect.  By the way, you can find some good deals on eBay when it comes to 12 month Xbox 360 live subscriptions.  First, go with the Xbox 360 Elite, then maybe later you can get a PS3.  PS3 is a very good deal when it comes to watching Blu-Ray DVDs but Blu-Ray DVDs tend to get expensive sometimes.

PS3 slim. You get more hard drive space and better games and graphics for the same price. You can also play Blu-Ray disks.

I find the PS3 controller better for shooting games too.

ok personally i would go with the ps3 because of the games and the sheer power of it and the blu ray dvd player, but really it depends what games you want like the exclusives like halo or killzone 2.

ps3 cause it plays blue ray if you were just to get a blueray it would cost 200.   so its a better deal in my opinion
