Whatever two puppets do together in the privacy of their own home is their business. They're also an interracial couple because Bert is yellow and Ernie is orange. I think they're also "life partners". They do like the theater you know.

I'm not sure...I never watched Sesame Street much when I was little...I think I thought they were friends who lived together. But they go on vacations together, don't they?
