I tried when i went overdue and my daughter went breech because of the castor oil and i ended up having a section, although it has worked for others. Baby will come when it is ready.

Taking castor oil is really dangerous for your baby. It WILL cause you to get really bad diahhorea and if that carries on for too long you can dehydrate, your body will start to reabsorb amniotic fluid and your baby could go into distress. Don't do it.

Why would you want to do that?

It's a natural laxative, all it'll do is give you the runs (which is something you do NOT need when you are due) which then can make you dehydrated, and it can cause your baby to have a bowel movement in utero, which in turn can cause major complications. Don't take any if you care at all for your baby's wellbeing.

My sister tried at 41 weeks & it didn't work. I personally would never do that. The baby will come when it is ready to come unless a Dr determines otherwise.
