Going to Vegas. Planning on staying at either the Luxor or New York with some friends. Which hotel is better?

Both hotels are fine but I would prefer New York New York because of the location and rooms. Before you book check http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/ - it has the latest hotel promo codes available.

NYNY and Luxor are both nice hotels. I would recommend the NYNY because the rooms are a bit nicer and the location on the strip is better than the Luxor. We found ourselves walking a lot more when we stayed at the Luxor which got old fast when your girlfriend is wearing heals.

They do have a tram that goes to the Luxor from the corner of the strip, but you have to stop at Mandalay Bay first and the tram stops running at 1AM on the weekends.

The restaurants, casino, bars and overall atmosphere are fairly equal give or take the themes, but LAX @ Luxor is a better nightclub than Roc @NYNY

One final note, check out the MGM Grand website as they often have better deals than both NYNY and Luxor and is a nicer hotel IMO.

NYNY has my favorite casino floor and restaurant area of all the hotels. And they have Coyote Ugly and a piano bar, which are lots of fun.

Luxor has the LAX nightclub, which is very popular. There is a very young and fun vibe at Luxor.

The location of NYNY is better, and the rooms are better too. But Luxor isn't far from NYNY, and often has better prices.

I will pick NY NY simply because I like the rooms better. Luxor is ok but the nice rooms cost a lot more. I also don't like that fact that the Luxor charges an addtional $10.95 /night for resort fee.

It is a toss up. I like the pool better at the Luxor if that helps. If you stay at New York-New York make sure you get a room away from that blasted roller-coaster.

I'd say NY NY.

Luxor is cool and everything, but NYNY is a really good vibe for young people (20-30's).

Not sure if this is an option, but Planet Hollywood is really cool too!

Both are very nice and very dif. Pick the one with the best deal BTW the are across just a couple of casinos apart
