XBox 360 HDAV Cable No Signal!!?

Hey

So i got an xbox a couple of months ago i was just plugging in the i net cable and i just seen that the xbox cable has an hdtv option. i have a 32inch HD plasma tv, so now i plugged the component cables into the tv and the red and white one in their slots and left the yellow one not plugged witched the HDTV thing on. Now i get no signal on every option. For some reason my tvs source menu doesn't say it has Component but there is clearly component the red blue and green in the back, beside the HDMI and the VGA S Video and such. In the source menu all that comes is TV, AV1, S-Video, AV2, YPBR (Dunno wtf that is) HDMI and PC. I tryed all of them and no signal. but the tv option on the cable works with the VGA cables. I plugged the xbox with the HDTV turned on on my brothers tv and it works.... in his menu are 2 component things u can choose from.

What can i do?

Thanks

Update:

My Brother has a ps3 he told me not to buy an xbox but all my freinds have xboxes so i bought one, i tryed his hdmi cable and it works fine.. but this has to work some way

1: put it cable on standard tv.

2: plug the cables in to the hdmi jacks.

3: turn on the xbox with it on standard.

    4:go to system settings

    5: go to console

    6: go to hdtv settings

7: click on the one that your tv is.

8: it will act funny then it asks if you can see the picture.

    9: click yes

10: swith the cable to hdtv and it shouch work (it might take a little bit)

I had the same problem but i figured it out

I have narrowed down some of what causes this issue. When you plug in the HD AV splitter cable, you plug in the red, green, and blue wires. You should also plug in the regular red and white audio cables in the same area. Plug the left over yellow in an empty slot (one where you'd normally plug in yellow, red, and white).

Do what Chris said, and it should work then. If you don't have the extra yellow cable plugged in, it won't show a picture on standard.

Also, this seems to be an issue with the 1080p/1080i. My TV is 1080i, and when my console reverted to factory 480p, the TV couldn't read it. I don't know anything about TVs or the difference between p and i, but that is what causes the issue most of the time.

I know this was answered 4 years ago, but figured I'd add to this for any future people...

in the past each thing, are you making use of a television or projector? If ur making use of a television or a projector with equipped in audio gadget, its probably a defective hdmi cable. Now, if ur making use of a embody sound gadget grow to be self protecting from ur television/projector, u could desire to apply the little field that hooks into the composite enter on the 360 and use the two the composite cable's purple and white audio jacks or a separate optical cable.

Sorry to hear. It's probably just a little video failure. Have you tried to fix it yourself? It's really easy, I did it for my sons XBOX 360. I bought a guide from these guys and it was pretty easy. Check it out.
