I haven't seen nor heard one Catholic 'poop' joke.

I've only seen a couple of questions, like your's, asked here on YA about them.

If I had to guess, it's probably coming from some low-brow element of pop-culture.

If that's the case, I wouldn't worry about those jokes because they only appeal to the lowest common denominator, and will be forgotten in a week.
