Is Canada's socialised medicine better than the U.S. mixed system?

Obama-care only has 41% approval. Congress is supposed to represent us - they need to start listening and start over! We need reform but this ain't it!

If Canada's system is so wonderful, why do they come here?

I think their investigation was biased and they only talked of the bad stories what about the success stories. Did you notice there were none. So go back and talk to people who have had emergency services for heart attacks and other serious problems That have be flown hundreds of miles to have the surgery done on the same day. No do not mention the good things.

Ask the people who can not afford health care on their own if they mind waiting a day or two to see a doctor. In the last year or so ask people if they are happy to have social health care. It was one thing they did not have to worry about in the economic down turn when they lost their job due to greed by the ones that can afford private health care.

Not any more..........I suppose if you are young and do not need a doctor it is great. But as people age they need more medical care. I see government run health care for the US like going back in time. Other countries have it and it has proven not to work anymore. It is not sustainable. We can not afford it. the innovation of new treatments will be at a stand still. No funding for that. Rather than government health care that Obama and Pelosi wants to cram down our throat why don't they LISTEN to some of the other party's plans like Jim DeMint has a good one but they will not even read it. They do not want to be bi-partisan and that scare me to death and shows me it is all about control of the people not what is best for the people.

I am one of the "have"s so for me the US system is better. If I were a "have not" Canada's would be. What's weird about the US is that its many of the very same people who are screwed by the current system who for some reason have the back of insurance companies. They aren't in on the scam, aren't collecting money from it, and yet they support it because they have been told if they don't we will all become communist. Pathological!

Meanwhile, people like me who don't really care about Joe the Idiot Plumber and can afford to be covered under virtually any system, support reform. Why? I guess I'm just not a heartless bastard, and stupid things (like the current system) bother me.

My Family and Friends living in Canada are very happy with their Health Care.

No. Both of my grandparents, who live in Canada, would be dead today if they didn't have access to care in the USA. No treatment was allowed by the Canadian government but insurance companies paid for the care here..

Its so bad Canada wants the Private Sector BACK! They don't have enough doctors, doctors are getting scewed and many of them came here to practice medicine. Millions of people can't even get a doctor!

Obama's bill is so radical, that 45% of our doctors said they would QUIT or RETIRE if it passes! Thats scary! Whats even scarier is these liberal politicians are IGNORING those facts! Maybe they plan to FORCE the doctors to work as doctors.
