  • Why did ABC, CBS, and NBC ignore MO vote?

If you watch these stations you don't know that Missouri overwhelmingly voted Tuesday that they would NOT participate in the Obama health insurance fiasco. It's a huge move and they just ignored it. Wonder why?

  • What L.E.D. should I use?

I want to make lighted balloons for a balloon release on the 4th of July. I have 200 clear balloons and 200 3V lithium batteries. Now I need 200 red, white and blue L.E.D. bulbs that I can tape the leads directly to the battery. I know you would normally use a resistor, but these only need to last for 5-6 hours. I have seen this done all over youtube but no one answers what L.E.D. light will work well. Ideas? Of course, I'm looking to go way cheap for a one time use.

  • Don't we already pay for universal health care?

If, according to Obama, there is $500 BILLION in waste and fraud in Medicaid and Medicare and, according to the US Census, there are $32 Million Americans uninsured, wouldn't cutting the waste and fraud pay for health care and a tax cut?

I'm coming up with over $15,000 per year for every uninsured American. Even if the 32 Million wasn't a complete exaggeration that includes ALL uninsured even the super rich and people who simply choose not to purchase health insurance, wouldn't that be enough?

  • Why does Obama hate Africans?

He has cut off the medical aid to Ugandans with HIV that Bush became a hero there for delivering so well.

  • Why didn't Murtha go to prison?

I mean, he was no murderer like Kennedy, but he indicated he was willing to accept bribes and NEVER REPORTED THE OFFER TO THE FBI as required by law. You or I would have went to prison but for Democrats, it's almost like we expect and accept it.

  • Will the government force women?

to wait for pap smears and mammograms or will they pay for them in a public option?

I'm wondering how many people are recognizing that this is the future of your health care when the public option becomes the only option. They are not following the advice of the government panel that is almost the sole source for setting medicare guidelines because it's not politically correct. Which is worse, a government panel overriding the American Cancer Society recommendations saying you don't need the exams or politicians with no medical background ignoring the advice and spending money on supposedly unnecessary tests because it's PC?

Are you aware that we have the best cancer survival outcomes in the world because we do early screening and countries with socialized medicine usually don't?

"The new guidelines were issued by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, whose stance influences coverage of screening tests by Medicare and many insurance companies."

  • Does the health insurance reform meet...?

...its goals of covering all Americans, not covering illegals by requiring I.D., and reduce health care costs? Does it propose cuts that will likely result in rationing?

  • The health care reform bill won't reduce costs or cover the uninsured?

Let me see if I have this right. This trillion dollar bill won't cover 12,000,000 uninsured Americans and will raise health care costs, the exact opposite of the stated goals. This according to the Congressional Budget Office. We all know the government has never estimated anywhere near what actual costs would be. Medicare is currently 900% more than projections. Isn't it reasonable to assume this is a 5-10 trillion dollar bill over the first 10 years that we actually receive full benefits (starting 10 years from now)?

Please offer honest, reasonable, and intelligent responses if you disagree.

  • New tax on middle class - where is the outrage?

The reduction of the amount you can save in a medical savings account tax free is a direct and immediate tax on the middle class. Well, not the whole middle class, just those that are really sick. Where is the outrage?

The new tax on Union style health insurance (Cadillac plans) is a tax on the middle class. Where is the outrage?

The reduction of medicare funding by 500 billion is a tax on the poor. Where is the outrage?

  • Should Anita Dunn be fired?

She has been exposed on video as an admirer of Mao, who murdered 65,000,000 Chinese and enslaved the entire Chinese population. Is she acceptable to you in a position of power?

  • What are the Democrats hiding in the "Health Care" bill?

They refuse to tell us what it costs, they refuse to make it available to read, they refuse to add a ban on elective abortions. Does this bother you? Where is the transparency?

  • Are you OK with being kept in the dark?

Pelosi has led the Democrats to kill an amendment that would have required congress to allow 3 days for us to read the heath insurance reform bill before it was voted on. It also would have required that the Congressional Budget Office make public the actual costs. Is this OK with you? What do they have against us knowing what is in the bill and what it will cost? Weren't we promised transparency?

    6 AnswersGovernment1 decade ago
  • Why don't we get to read the "health care" bill and know what it costs?

The Democrats have killed an amendment that would require a full disclosure of the costs of the bill by the CBO and a three day waiting period so we can read the bill once it's completed. Where is the transparency we were promised? What is the big secret? Is it the 560 pork laden amendments the Democrats are hiding?

  • Why did Obama change his tune?

Myself and others have been calling out the liars claiming 46 - 50 million uninsured as if they were citizens and couldn't afford insurance. Tonight Obama lowered the lie to 30 million. What inspired him to move towards the truth and when will he get to the actual number of 8 million Americans who can't afford health insurance?

  • Why does Obama say we have?

50 million uninsured that we need to insure when that number includes at least 8 million illegal aliens, the super rich, and 8-10 million that already qualify for medicaid and medicare.
