The reduction of the amount you can save in a medical savings account tax free is a direct and immediate tax on the middle class. Well, not the whole middle class, just those that are really sick. Where is the outrage?
The new tax on Union style health insurance (Cadillac plans) is a tax on the middle class. Where is the outrage?
The reduction of medicare funding by 500 billion is a tax on the poor. Where is the outrage?
Vicki, most "Cadillac" plans are held by Union middle class workers. If you believe the government is going to cut fraud and waste, I have a trillion dollar health care reform bill to sell you.

The outrage will come when they finally find themselves paying more, not less, for less benefits than they had before they voted for 0bama. By then, he will be retired in Hawaii with his feet up lhao. You have to think a little ahead to really get it. So many Americans only think in the now.

the rationalization is easy. Union workers have been way overpaid for years and their income applications are the costliest. to no longer ask them to make an identical sacrifices because of the fact something persons is erroneous no depend the way you seem at it. As for the tax cuts, the appropriate earners in the united statespay too plenty now and elevating their costs or springing up with new taxes purely for them isn't AMERICAN. in case you like the liberal way of doing issues: Canada has a good number of attainable actual components.

There is plenty of outrage. It's just that the media doesn't want to ridicule their poster boy, who is also their biggest paycheck giver (him and other democrats). How about the 32% fee increase at UC campuses across California? The students went and protested that, which they have the right to, and they got arrested. So there is outrage, we are just being ignored. And those who aren't outraged are watching Oprah. Thank God she'll be leaving (not soon enough though).

Just give it some time. The outrage will come when the taxes are imposed and the care is denied. Most people are still baffled by the health care debate. Reality will set in eventually. The government is just a great big parasite demanding more and more of your hard earned dollars to feed its insatiable appetite. No one is safe no matter what it promises.

I knew it was coming. I voted against the party in power. The party of raise the tax.
Hold on to your hats this isn't the end. They will be raising taxes on everything from soda, cookies, anything with sugar will see a tax increase. It already has in my state. not much but it is enough.
It's like the frog in the boiling water. Start it cold and heat it slowly it will cook to death. That is what they are doing to the middle class. Slowly increase this tax than that one. Add this restriction then that one pretty soon. There will be the super rich and the rest of us.
Keep the democrats in power and that is what you get. I voted republican. They aren't perfect by any means but they are a better choice or the lesser of 2 evils if you must.

The outrage will be demonstrated at the ballot box.
Remember, we just elected a rep governor in VA and NJ, and an independent almost defeated a Dem in upstate NY.
By the way, my family dr has a sign in hos office,
Effective Nov 1, we are no longer accepting Medicaid patients. Tell us where you want your records sent."

Perhaps it is because the American middle class is just so used to getting screwed that we are tired of even fighting it anymore.
Obama promised no taxes on us.. and now has already introduced a couple... so now we know for sure he lied.
It is depressing.. just another stupid politician, not different at all.. just another liar in the White house.. it makes one just want to give up!

I don't have a medical savings account. Why? because whatever isn't spent from that account at the end of the year is LOST. Gone. Poof. Bye bye. Flushed away.
- VickiLv 41 decade ago
First... None of the middle class patients I see in our clinic have a medical savings account or a Cadillac plan. They usually have whatever basic plan their employer offers.
Second... the reductions in medicare are to be in the form of cutting fraud and streamlining processes. There are NO PLANS TO CUT BENEFITS TO ANYONE.
You know what outrages me? People like you who buy this crap and spread it around.
