Does the health insurance reform meet...?

...its goals of covering all Americans, not covering illegals by requiring I.D., and reduce health care costs? Does it propose cuts that will likely result in rationing?

Update:

Yes John, and reform is needed, what is being passed does none of the things we need.

Harry Reid recently said there are 50 million Americans without health care insurance. The democrat used to say 47 million Americans were without health care insurance. I'm guessing the 3 million more are those who are victims of the Obama recession who have become unemployed in 2009. Reid further said Obamacare would cover 95% of Americans in the next 10 years, which means after a trillion dollars or more, over 15 million Americans will still be without health insurance. It's a failure in the making.

Well, the bill hasn't gone passed the Senate, much less gone through reconciliation between the House and the Senate, so it's a little tough to say if it meets the goals you laid out.

As for rationing, please remember that Health Care is already rationed, except it's rationed based on money instead of probability of survival. Trust me, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs get much better health care than we can even imagine.

Point of fact.........Free health care is a nice thought, but in a country as big as we are, with as many health issues and as many people out of work or just living off the government, as well as all the ones who make money but do not pay taxes, this will go bankrupt in a few years....it will be the social security crisis except only faster and will effect many more.

It throws millions more OUT of their coverage than are purportedly covered by it.

It forbids checking a person's legal eligibility.

It raises costs to a level its AUTHORS said will be impossible to meet.

It REQUIRES bureaucratic rationing by the force of badges, guns and handcuffs.

These are key reasons the GOP opposes it

Interestingly, these are the key reasons Democrats WROTE it.
